Cavallo Point
Set in an idyllic location in the Bay Area, Cavallo Point offers unique historic and contemporary lodging options that gives you the perfect view of the bridge.
Since we were only staying for a night, we wanted to fully utilize all the facilities during our stay.
The grounds were so beautiful. Well kept, quiet, and pure tranquility. Exactly what one needs for a staycation!
We sat on the balcony outside the lobby, sipping on the complimentary wine that was served in the afternoon and enjoyed the amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
There were also fireplaces that you can sit around when the weather turned chilly.
Fairfax
After checking out, our plan was to drive further north to a tiny town called Bolinas, but along the way, we discovered some lovely shops that are worth checking out..
Grand Hotel - Bolinas
Our next and final stop was Grand Hotel in Bolinas. Grand Hotel is a charming ‘hotel’ sets in Bolinas that is both a thrift store as well as a hotel. To get into the hotel, you have to go through the back entryway which leads you to the bathroom and then to the actual door into the house. We did not stay here so I can’t recommend it but judging from the look of it, it definitely won’t be a “grand” experience.
